Introduction

Welcome to the purely visual side of my website! This is where I post all my photos. Maybe some other multimedia, HTML-type fun stuff will eventually show up here, but for now you can just think of this page as budget flickr. I'm still a newbie photographer, and I intend to use this page to document the learning process, rather than to show off.

Photos are sorted by date shot, and a description will be provided where applicable. Unless othewhise stated, all photos were taken using a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 and edited using a combination of GIMP and Canon Digital Photo Professional. Shooting information can be found in the image EXIF data. Don't forget to click for a full-sized image!

This one turned out kind of like a traditional Chinese landscape painting, the kind you're supposed to read from top to bottom. The ancient Chinese artists got to paint cool stuff like mountains and waterfalls, but I'm stuck with boring snapshots of parking lots.

I got a ride somewhere to take some pictures of some other stuff, but that turned out to be a disappointment. Made a quadriptych out of the passenger seat snaps instead.

Went on a walk in the snow along an old railway embankment. Cold, cloudy, and I got a really bad blister on my left foot because my boots were too tight. It was great. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to transition into the role of a full-time overhead power line/cell phone tower photographer.

Not entirely happy with these, but whatever. Turns out you can't fix everything in post.

More cold and wintry shots of the city.

Some architectural photos of a nearby public school with an interesting WPA-esque carvings. The depressing tone was intentional.

It was very cold on Christmas and my fingers almost froze. The sky made it all worth it, probably.

Some first shots with my then-new camera. I didn't really know what I was doing at this point, but I think some of them turned out well.
